Losing Sight of Land

The HEIGH FAMILY JOURNAL

GRATEFUL

We are so thankful. Knowing God is the greatest purpose of our lives and we are absolutely caught up in the wonder of discovering Him through community ministry here on Pender Island. We created this site to be a point of connection for the growing community that the Holy Spirit has been building. So, please connect with us and join with us in experiencing the Gospel.

STAY CONNECTED

Sunday walk together on the beach. So amazing to have a family to soak in while my precious wife is away. What a blessing. #hopebaychurch

They’re pumped about the fish head they found.

Musical chairs after the service. #hopebaychurch

Joining our family at ROL in their journey through affliction into harvest. So powerful. #hopebaychurch

And done. #thetable2015

A couple days ago Kyle, Danny, and I were out taking advantage of the January sun to do some building.

This morning, we worshipped together as one Church, our little Hope Bay congregation leading the music and the children’s ministry. Four congregations together, celebrating diversity, cherishing unity. We prayed together, “Father, forgive our violence against unity.” It was beautiful. #buildingchurch (at Pender Island)

It was so wonderful to enjoy these people and their brilliant music, this community, and a vision fulfilled. @lmatfof unveiled their visual EP to the community, a project of six live songs filmed here on Pender. Deer and Coyote opened for Lauren, precious friends and co-builders with us in community here. It was a fantastic evening. We are so blessed with an abundance of fellowship.
